Felipe Rocha

Actor, writer and director, Felipe Rocha was born in Paris in 1972. He has been living in Brazil since 78 and holds a degree in Performing Arts from Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. He is known for "Just Like Our Parents" (2017), "El Revenge" (2016) and "Lili, a Ex" (2014). In cinema he worked with directors such as Fernando Meirelles, Lais Bodazky, Tata Amaral and many others. He started doing theater in 1986 and is founder and co-director of the theater group Foguetes Maravilha. As playwright he awarded the main theater prizes in Rio (Shell, Questão de Crítica and APTR - Theater Producers Association of Rio), and is published by Editora Cobogó. Felipe has performed at theater festivals, such as "Festival d'Automne à Paris"; "Kunsten Festival des Arts" (in Brussels), Wienner Festwochen (Vienna), "Spring Arts Festival" (Shizuoka/ Japan), "Festival Chekhov" (Moscow), "Under the Radar" (New York), "El Grec" (Barcelona),"Transamériques" (Montreal), "Buenos Aires Theatre Festival" and "Alkantara" (in Lisbon), among many others. He is also is a musician, award-winning film, theater and dance composer, and trumpeter/singer of the musical group Brasov.
