Mark van Eeuwen
During his Master's degree at the University of Amsterdam, he has signed up to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), where he successfully graduated in 2004. During his college years, Van Eeuwen was member of the Utrecht Student Corps, where he was an active member of Student Theatre Company. In 20114 Van Eeuwen starred in a small supporting role in the feature film directed by Johan Nijenhuis, known of the film 'Snowfever.' In 2005 Van Eeuwen-starred in the British drama series 'Mike Bassett: Manager' made for the TV channel 'ITV.'
For the Dutch TV channel 'Yorin' Van Eeuwen played the role of Matthijs van Groningen in the adventure series 'Kicken.' In the spring of 2005 he was selected for the role of Jack Van Houten in the most successful Dutch soap series: 'Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden (GTST).' His role in the series 'GTST' would mean his breakthrough into the industry. Many roles would follow such as: 'Football Wives' and the lead role in the feature film 'The Dinner Club.' On October 13, 2012, Van Eeuwen together with his partner Jessica Maybury, won the final of the AVRO program 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
In November of 2013 Van Eeuwen started with the filming of the international feature film 'Kidnapping Mr. Heineken' in Amsterdam, where Van Eeuwen can be seen alongside with major actors such as Jim Sturgess and Sam Worthington who play the notorious kidnappers, who kidnapped beer tycoon Freddy Heineken (played by Sir. Anthony Hopkins) in the 80's.
In the summer of 2014 Mark Van Eeuwen played the lead role in the feature film directed by Antoinette Beumer 'Rendez-Vous', based on the novel of writer Esther Verhoef. In July 2015 Mark began the rehearsals for the Stage musical 'The Bodyguard', which Van Eeuwen will portray starting from September 27th. Mark van Eeeuwen is currently filming for his lead role in the TV-thriller 'Flikken Rotterdam', produced by Warner International Television Productions, which will air starting January 2016.
