Ally Ioannides
Alexia "Ally" Ioannides (She/They) was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Christine Ioannides, a business woman and Aristides Ioannides, the creator and founder of BoardDocs. Her father, born to immigrant parents, is of Greek descent. Her mother, who is from Wisconsin, is of Croatian and Swedish descent. She is the sister of Katerina Ioannides, who works in politics.
She attended elementary school at Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, where her Grandfather previously taught math. Upon moving to Utah, she continued her education at Trailside in Park City, and then at the Madeleine Choir School where she sang in over 300 services and concerts, including the prominent Utah Opera. Ally's career began with her acting, singing and dancing in stage musicals at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, and then the Pioneer Theatre Company and Hale Center Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah. She became interested in film when she participated as an actor in the Sundance Directors Labs in 2013.
She made her television debut in 2014, where she played the troubled Dylan Jones in Jason Katims' Parenthood. She was nominated for a Young Artists Award for her performance. She followed this with more prominent television roles including a substantial role on Law and Order: SVU, a recurring role on Elementary, where she portrayed a psychopath opposite Lucy Lui and Jonny Lee Miller. She then appeared as a series regular on AMC's Into The Badlands, where she played Tilda, a bisexual teenage assassin, for 3 seasons. Ally learned martial arts for the role and is considered a "fan favorite". Her film credits include Brand New Old love, opposite Aya Cash and The Tsarevich, for which she won best young artist in the CineRockom International Film Festival awards. In 2021 she was nominated for the Critics Choice Super Awards for her performance in Synchronic, where she portrayed Jamie Dornan's daughter, opposite Anthony Mackie. She just wrapped production on the horror/thriller Trim Season, directed by Ariel Vida, opposite Alex Essoe, Bex Taylor Klaus, Beth Millon and Juliette Kenn de Balinthazy.
