Bivas Biswas

Bivas Biswas is a Software Engineer. He has a Master's Degree in Computer Science and 3-D Computer Graphics from Arizona State University. He has a deep love for cinema and built his film production company from the ground up on nights and weekends while working as a Senior Software Engineer on U.S. Defense Projects. He took part in 48h hr. film challenges in Phoenix, Az where he won numerous awards for producing and directing. He took a semi-retirement after a successful career in software and produced 3 feature films. He directed a feature film that found international distribution but it didn't do so well commercially. He won the Arizona Filmmaker of the Year Award in 2008 and was featured as the Best Local Filmmaker by the Best of Phoenix magazine. With the advent of modern VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality), he got back into software but kept in touch with films in a capacity that didn't demand as much of his time. He developed screenplays and acted in student films in his free time. He has since appeared in leading roles in independent feature films (such as The Elevator to Salvation available on Amazon Prime), and a few TV shows for Discovery Science and Star Network/India, Warner Bros. He is a SAG-AFTRA actor, lives in Los Angeles, and works at an AR startup.

Deep underwater in the Marianas Trench an accident results in a devastating Tsunami that destroys the Hawaiian Islands as it continues toward the west coast. Panic ensues all up and down the western coast of North and South America. In an attempt to lessen its impact, scientists launch an underwater explosion that inadvertently makes the tsunami more powerful and focused on Los Angeles. Scientists rush to a solution while the military begins planning for the worst. Los Angeles begins emergency evacuation. Lives and loves are lost even as a brash young grad student comes up with a solution: start the mother of all earthquakes to counter the rushing torrent and raise the continental shelf off the coast of the United States.
