Sunny S. Walia
Sunny S. Walia is an Indian Australian actor who has worked extensively in television, film and theatre.
Prior to pursuing a career in acting he was enlisted in the Australian Army Reserves as an infantryman. He has studied Security and Counter Terrorism as part of a Bachelor in Social Science at Swinburne University. In late 2015, out of sheer curiosity he took an acting class and well, as they say, the rest is history!
Sunny has trained at Brave Studios and TAFTA, where he has taken classes under the expertise of directors such as Colin Budds, Declan Eames, Scott Major and many more.
In 2020, Sunny won the prestigious AACTA Pitch competition for his 'original and truthful performance' out of 466 submissions Australia wide. The past 12 months have been promising for Sunny, with some soon to be announced international credits to his name.
Sunny is always challenging himself by delving deeper into the complicated and strong characters he works on. Recently he has also started writing with the plan to direct his own work. He is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi as well as weapons and stage combat trained.
