Betsy Sligh
2021 was a very busy year for young actress Betsy Sligh. During this time, Betsy filmed 3 feature films. First to be released is Amazon's I Want You Back starring Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, and Scott Eastwood and in which she was directed by Jason Orley and plays Amy, an awkward middle school girl.
Betsy also filmed lead roles in two horror films, Homestead and The Desecrated Ones. ln The Desecrated Ones, Betsy leads the film alongside Brian Krause and horror Icon Camille Keaton from I Spit on Your Grave. In Homestead, Betsy plays the role of Irene who finds herself suddenly responsible for the survival of her family when a gang of outlaws invades their home. Irene is a hot-tempered, hair-triggered young girl who trusts few and shoots first. Betsy leads this film with Brian Krause, and Greg Kriek.
In 2018, Betsy filmed several scenes as Emma, actor Gavin Stenhouse's little sister along with life size doll Tyra Banks in Disney's long anticipated Life-Size 2, the sequel to Life Size starring Lindsay Lohan in 2000.. Life-Size 2 is now a permanent addition to Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas.
Betsy entered the world of horror early on when she was cast at the age of nine in the award-winning horror film The Maiden, directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona and the Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) and filmed by award-winning cinematographer, Tristan Nyby (Billie Eilish's Bury a Friend). This frightening film was Chaves' directorial debut and was filmed at the iconic Beckett Mansion in Los Angeles.
Betsy has two more feature films in active preproduction. Both films are horror films, Dooba Dooba and Haven.
