Shogen

Shogen was born on June 20th, 1978 in Okinawa, Japan. He made his film debut in "Bloody Snake Under The Sun" (2005) which described people in Okinawa in the postwar period. Shogen starred as a Sanshin (Okinawan traditional guitar) player and the film was nominated at the 20th Tokyo International Film Festival. He then took a keen interest in learning realism acting and moved to New York in 2008. Today Shogen actively takes part in various productions around the world. He is known as Young Goken in "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" and FBI agent Raye Penber in "Death Note". He is starring in a boxing film "Gensan Punch" directed by award winning Filipino director Brillante Mendoza.
