The plot of the film is inspired from the Mahabharata. The character of Rocky resembles Daanveer Karan who was the central protagonist of the epic Mahabharata. The old Suryavardhan resembles Dhritarasthra/ Bhishma. The character sketch of Rocky takes its inspiration from Karna and lord Rama (the protagonist of Ramayana) who were a savior or a messiah, daanveer for the poor subjects and the protector of their people and regarded as the foremost of all kings in history.
