After growing up on a small farm in rural Michigan, Abi attended Syracuse University and obtained her BFA in Acting. She has a varied performance background with strengths in Shakespeare and Classical theatre, improv/sketch comedy, and film. Most notably, Abi can be seen alongside Mark Ruffalo and Anne Hathaway in Dark Waters, directed by Todd Haynes. She also played the blue collar best friend of Marin Ireland in the gritty family drama, In the Radiant City, which premiered at TIFF 2016 and also starred Michael Abbott Jr. In the award-winning new media project, Chronofilm, Abi played Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a WWII Russian sniper - the most successful female sniper of all time.
