Soo-Young Park
Soo-Young Park (also known as Joy) was born in Jeju Island, South Korea on September 3, 1996. She attended Seoul School of Performing Arts and in 2012 she became a trainee at SM Entertainment where she was given the stage name Joy. In 2014 she debuted as a member of K-pop girl group Red Velvet, one of the most popular K-pop groups worldwide according to Billboard and Time. Alongside her group activities, in 2017 she landed the lead role in the drama The Liar and His Lover after her first ever acting audition. In 2018 Soo-Young earned her second lead role in the drama The Great Seducer. For her acting performances she has won the OSEN Newcomer Award, and has been nominated for the Popularity Award (Drama Actress) at the Seoul Awards, Best Actress at the MBC Drama Awards, and Rookie of the Year at the MBC Drama Awards.
