Philip Hersh, originally from Montreal, Canada, knew he was headed for the entertainment industry when he vocally reproduced the sound of a police siren and caused his school bus to pull over. To this day, his versatile voice has held him in good stead. He voices more than 50 characters and impressions. His voice can be heard in feature films, commercials, cartoons, video games, documentary narratives, television programs and as a spoof guest on numerous radio programs. Philip's creative talents and enthusiasm have lead to meaningful opportunities. He worked as Prubear, the goodwill ambassador for Prudential Health Care and promoted good health to children in South Florida Schools. Philip utilized his position as Prubear to reach out to the community and assist many charitable organizations. As a result, Philip was honored for his efforts by being chosen to run with the Olympic Torch during the 1996 summer Olympics. Philip participated in the National Tour of Read Me A Story with Danny Glover as Clifford the Big Red Dog. Working with Danny Glover and promoting literacy was once again a rewarding experience. Philip's most memorable role was a film booking that resulted in a perfect "Hollywood" story. The lead character was Ari Joseph, an ex-Israeli Commando. Philip was advised to speak in the accent from the onset. He did. His initial phone call led to a meeting with the Director. He was booked on the spot. Upon receiving the good news he decided to come clean about the accent. Before he could, his director said, "I'm so glad to have a genuine Israeli on board. The last thing I would want is an American who can impersonate an Israeli". Phil's response in character: "When do we start shooting?". For the next six months, Philip answered all calls in an Israeli accent. He changed all answering machine messages to an Israeli accent. Philip lived the accent and was believed to be Israeli, until the screening of the film when he finally made a speech and broke out of the accent stunning everyone. Freedom's Gate has been screened at several film festivals and was the recipient of the 2005 Bronze Remi Award at the Houston Worldfest. Philip has extensive hosting experience as well as impersonating political figures, celebrities & other notables both for live event and on-camera projects. His energy, enthusiasm and versatility hold him in good stead as he represents an array of products and companies across the globe.
