Robin Pront
A Belgian citizen, of semi Dutch heritage, Robin Pront is known for his straight forward no-nonsense style. He rose to prominence with his first short film Plan B, a short about the drugscene in Antwerp and its effects on the main characters. The film won the award for best short movie of the year at the critically acclaimed Leuven Film Festival, as well as the Public's Choice award. Having quickly made a name for himself, his next movie about football hooliganism with leading Belgian movie star Matthias Schoenaerts received praise from critics around.
The Ardennes was his breakout feature and premiered at TIFF.
