Broadus Mattison

Broadus Mattison was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the eldest son of veterans and heir to the values and traditions of his family's Southern lineage. With a gentleman's demeanor and a soldier's bearing, Broadus embarked on his journey of exploration guided by the example set by his parents. Broadus arrived at his place as an actor and storyteller through varied and unexpected byways. He served as a naval officer, librarian, and policeman, on a life course that took him from the streets of Charm City to The Great Pyramid at Giza; from Hadrian's Wall to Hadrian's Gate; from the peak of Mont Faron and on to the green spaces and majestic views of British Columbia. He is a proud alumnus of two Historically Black College and Universities: North Carolina A&T State University and Morgan State University. Aggie Pride!! Go Bears!! Broadus lives and works within Bruce Lee's philosophy of "Be water, my friend", which he has embodied through a joyful and disciplined approach to storytelling. He continues his journey of discovery as an actor, using his skills and life experiences to tell rich stories that reveal the fullness and complexity of what it means to be human. Broadus sees performance as a heart-centered vocation, opening worlds of wonder and amazement for everyone, everywhere. ~B
