J.A. Adande

Has been sports columnist for The Los Angeles Times since 1997. A member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Received his bachelor of science degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Had internships with The LA Times' Westside edition in 1990; The San Bernardino Sun; The Washington Post in 1991; and The Miami Herald in 1992. Became a full-time staff writer for the Chicago Sun-Times. Moved east to The Washington Post as a staff writer in 1994. He returned to Southern California in 1997 to become a sports columnist for the LA Times' Orange County edition. A year later his column began running in all editions.
