Haqi was born and raised in Birmingham in the UK. Following a long career in stand-up comedy, including an Edinburgh Fringe Festival performance, and tour in 1993, Haqi is now mainly known for his acting work in television, film & theatre. This work includes: What's Love Got to Do with It?, Adam, Waiting for the Barbarians, Doctors, Jungleland, Jawbone, Man Like Mobeen, Citizen Khan and Get The Picture.
