Siddharth Makkar
Sid Makkar was born on May 15 1983 in Mumbai India. He has worked in Australian, British and Indian films. He is particularly known for his work in the Australian film Save Your Legs! (2012), the British film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011) and the Indian film Hacked (2020). As a television actor, he was acclaimed for his performance in Dariba Diaries (2014). Sid is the son of actress Madhu and actor Surinder Makkar.
Sid is a part of the Varma family, which includes members that have had careers in the Bollywood industry as producers, distributors, actors, film directors, writers and film editors. The Varma family began working in the film industry in the late 1940s and continues into the 2020s; the family has had a staying power that has extended to more than seven decades.
As the grandson of Munshiram Varma, one of the founders of Varma Films and a patriarch of the Varma family, Sid is a biological descendant of the Varma family.
