Alex Portenko

Alex Portenko was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. His family won a green card lottery and moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1999. Alex began acting in High School when a friend invited him to audition for a student directed theatre festival. He played Yvan in a thirty-five minute cutting of Yasmina Reza's ART. Alex continued to pursue theatre in high school & undergrad. He graduated from Salem State University with a BFA in theatre performance. Upon graduation, Alex spent a few years working professionally in Boston as an actor. He worked with award-winning, regional theatre companies like Company One & Gloucester Stage Company, and was a guest actor with the Boston Lyric Opera. Alex booked his first film role in Proud Mary (2018), and soon after appeared in Ghost Light (2018) as Nigel Bloom alongside Carol Kane, Cary Elwes, Roger Bart, Shannyn Sossamon & Tom Riley. Alex is based in Los Angeles.
