Kelly Spitko
Theatre and screen actor Kelly Spitko, born in Norristown PA, fell in love with singing and performing when she landed the role of Mimi in her middle school musical production of Mimi Goes to Broadway. When pursuing acting was discouraged by her teacher as an unrealistic profession, that was the exact moment Kelly decided she would become a professional actor.
Kelly studied musical theatre at The Boston Conservatory, which ranked the number one musical theatre school in the nation at the time. She continued her studies at The University of the Arts, where she graduated with a BFA in theatre and musical theatre. This training led to numerous stage productions, regionally, off Broadway, and led to a lead in an operetta at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall.
Kelly's performance experience is vast. Notable TV appearances include roles on NBC's Do No Harm, in which she appeared opposite Steven Pasquale and Academy Award Winner F. Murray Abraham and CBS' crime drama Unforgettable. She also appeared in several episodes of Law and Order, opposite Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Ice T, Richard Belzer and Natasha Lyonne.
Kelly is also an advanced athlete who was born without a hip socket. This disability became a blessing in disguise. After years of therapy at Dupont Children's Hospital she went on to run her first race at the age of six and she learned at an early age that she was capable of doing anything if she put the work in. She is still an avid runner and also a classically trained Pilates Teacher. She teaches Pilates for the highly esteemed Core Pilates in NYC. And, she has opened her own virtual Pilates studio at the beginning of 2021.
