The reason behind this is her dad, who is in the Indian Air Force, and has been re-located to Punjay, Hyderabad, & Bangalore. She lived a life of luxury as a child. She studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya High School in Calicut, was constantly distracted, compelling her 12th standard chemistry teacher to admonish her, and ask to seek a film career. Shweta was born on April 23 in the Menon family, and shot into limelight after being crowned Miss Bangalore. She then went to participate in Miss India contest in 1994, ended by being third in the pageant that was won by Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai.
