Chester Sit

Chester loves to tell stories, but particularly stories with meaning and purpose, which teach us lessons that can help make our world a little bit better. As a visible-minority, and as a child of immigrants, Chester is drawn to stories that explore the experiences of oppressed and marginalized people. But Chester knows that most importantly, any film must be as compelling and entertaining as possible so that it cannot be ignored. Thus, Chester's work is that of a pioneer as he tries to do things that have not been done before. His directing work includes many firsts, such as "The Quon Dynasty", a national prime-time television show that showcased a Chinese-Canadian family for the first time, and "The Shift" which was a documentary about the first Chinese Canadian to ever play in the NHL. Also, he has produced many projects in a myriad of different genres and formats, including indie features such as "Chained" and documentaries such as "Clash on Keefer: The Generational Struggle to Preserve Vancouver's Chinatown". Whenever he isn't working, Chester tries to be on the ice as much as possible.
