Fernando Trullols

Director. Licensed by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Filmmaking, with the specialty of Direction and Screenplay, he began his career as an assistant director in about 40 films and TV-movies, as well as in many commercials. At the same time he was developing his job as a director, shooting the short films "Genealogies", "Two" and "You can't see the stars from the city". In 2011, after winning the Villa Coslada Award for Best Short Film Project, he directed "El Barco Pirata", a short film that received more than 20 awards and with it he achieved in 2012 the Goya Award for Best Short Fiction, the most important prize in Spain. In Cannes Film Festival, Variety wrote he was one on the 10 talents to follow. After it, he shot a sequel, "Martians of Mars", with which he achieves 8 awards and more than 50 selections. At present he's currently writing two feature films, "Halley's Comet" and "Electric Train", while continuing his work as a teacher and collaborating on other projects. He's directing commercials, second units for directors like Fernando Colomo or Julio Medem and directing in the series "Félix", created by Cesc Gay.
