Alyssa McClelland
Alyssa McClelland is a director/writer. She majored in directing in her Media Arts and Production degree at the University of Technology Sydney. Her short film SECOND BEST enjoyed a busy international festival run and won numerous awards, including the Dendy Best Short Award at the Sydney Film Festival, Best Film at the Milan International Film Festival, the ADG Award for Best Direction in a Short Film and the Flickerfest Award for Best Director. Alyssa directed and co-wrote seasons 1 and 2 of the cult web series ONE STEP CLOSER TO HOME which went on to play at web festivals around the world and premiered on the online platform Funny or Die. Most recently Alyssa set up the Netflix / Left Bank Pictures television series THE FUCK IT BUCKET. She is a prolific international commercial director, winning many advertising awards including the coveted Black Pencil at the D&AD Awards and the award for Direction at the London International Awards. Alyssa was recipient of the InStyle Magazine Woman Of Style Award scholarship for her work as a filmmaker.
