Maria Christina Perry
A highly versatile singer-actress, Maria Christina Perry most recently had the honor of performing with an entire Latinx cast at the NBC Universal Upfronts at Radio City Music Hall. Consistently studying her craft, Maria spent the past year working with the Columbia University MFA Directing students presenting scenes from both classical and contemporary works to the legendary Anne Bogart and Brian Kulick. Before this, she took her audience on a journey "From Broadway to Brazil" during her one-woman show at the Metropolitan Room. Maria spent the evening singing in English, Spanish and Portuguese and even performed a Gloria Estefan medley! Ms. Perry continued to enjoy her cabaret streak by belting out some mean pop-rock showstoppers in an all-female cabaret "All About That Face" at The Triad. The show received wonderful reviews naming the performers "A contemporary group of young women with well-trained voices and a comic flair" and that "with its impeccable timing, harmonies, and counterpoints, it's entertainment of the highest level..."
Prior to hitting the cabaret trail, Maria had the honor of working with Tony Award nominee, John Tartaglia and Broadway veteran, Shannon Lewis, as the Teacher Susie understudy and swing in the original company of Jim Henson's, Sid the Science Kid Live! tour. Recognized for her talent at an early age, Maria attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts at which time she performed in a one night special with Paul Simon and Hugh Masekela at Carnegie Hall.
An adept comedienne, Ms. Perry is a graduate of the Advanced Study Improv program at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She has trained under award winning improvisers and performs throughout the city with her improv team, LASSO. A native of Queens, New York, Maria is an alumna of SUNY Fredonia from which she graduated Cum Laude, completing her B.A. in Vocal Music and B.S. in Business Administration concurrently. An aficionado in Latin music, Maria starred as the solo vocalist with the SUNY Fredonia Latin Jazz Ensemble for the NY State Governor's Inauguration at the Albany Convention Center.
An international traveler, Ms. Perry has visited twenty two countries on four continents and has made it one of her life goals to visit all seven continents. In her free time, she practices Bikram yoga and lives with her dog-daughter, Cupcake.
