Jason Konopisos-Alvarez
Jason Konopisos is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Jason was born on March 10 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. His family background is extremely diverse, predominantly of Cuban and Greek descent. After studying Existential Phenomenology at the University of Dallas and receiving his degree, he moved onto Rice University to begin master's studies - however that was cut short when he discovered his love for stand up comedy. His first performance at the historic Laugh Stop in Houston Texas, where other comics such as Jaime Foxx and Sam Kinison got their starts, was all he needed to realize performance was what he wanted to do with his life.
Shortly after that Jason started getting parts in commercials, TV and films - he then began to write material himself. In 2007 Jason wrote-directed-performed in the feature film The Waiter with such TV/Film legends as Dan Lauria and Charles Durning. In 2009 Jason moved to Los Angeles and pursued writing and acting further.
